ABOUT ME

I am Ela, experienced and passionate psychology professional who loves communicating with people from different backgrounds. It is my belief that the right combination of client assessment and tailored approach could lead to optimal results and make an impact. My work in both clinical and private environment equipped me with a valuable mix of knowledge and skills that could be beneficial for people dealing with anxiety and depression.

​Many people would struggle to easily find the key tools that can help them out during difficult periods. Therefore, it is the psychologists’ mission to support their clients and help them discover paths to better well-being. In my professional practice, I offer safe and non-judgmental environment, where my clients feel comfortable to talk about their concerns. My extensive experience of working with clients from various cultural and religious backgrounds can make you sure that any issues will be handled in a strictly confidential and timely manner.

My qualifications include Master of Science in Health Psychology as well as Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have also attended various specialist courses in subjects like Emotional Intelligence, Body Language and Parental Styles. In addition, I am fluent in four languages – English, German, Russian and Bulgarian. In my spare time, I like running and outdoor sports, yoga, meditation, and painting – arts are a big passion of mine.

During the week, I offer flexible appointments either in morning or evenings as well as on Saturday. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are interested and would like to discuss your situation.

Therapeutic Approach

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

In CBT the therapist and client work together to find ways of reacting differently to thoughts and feelings. It also aims to bring about changes in behaviour to help clients feel better. It Is structured approach and the intervention is fairly brief (7-20 sessions).

Narrative Therapy 

Narrative Therapy views problems as separate from people and assumes that people have many skills, competencies, beliefs and abilities that will assist them to change their relationship with problems in their lives. Narrative therapy involves exploring the shaping moments of a person’s life, the turning points, key relationships and vivid memoris. It assumes that people use certain stories about themselves. Narrative Therapy aims to explore the unseen story lines.
